Dental Bridges in Beverly Hills and West Hills

Dental bridges are custom-designed restorations used to replace one or more missing teeth by bridging the gap between healthy teeth or implants. Each bridge includes one or more artificial teeth supported by neighboring natural teeth, known as abutments. Dr. Kashfian can place bridges on both natural teeth and dental implants to help restore your smile and function.

Benefits of Dental Bridges
Dental bridges offer a variety of advantages, including:

  • Restoring the appearance of your natural smile

  • Improving your ability to chew and speak clearly

  • Preserving the natural shape of your face

  • Distributing bite forces evenly across your teeth

  • Preventing adjacent teeth from shifting into empty spaces

Types of Dental Bridges
Depending on your individual needs, Dr. Kashfian may recommend one of the following bridge types:

  • Traditional Bridges: The most commonly used bridge. Crowns are placed on the abutment teeth to anchor the artificial tooth or teeth in between.

  • Cantilever Bridges: Ideal when only one abutment tooth is available. These offer an aesthetic solution without the need for metal clasps.

  • Maryland Bridges: A conservative option for front teeth, Maryland bridges use a resin-bonded framework and require minimal modification to surrounding teeth.

The Procedure
To prepare for a dental bridge, Dr. Kashfian will gently reshape the abutment teeth to allow for crown placement. Impressions are then taken and sent to a dental lab to fabricate the final bridge. In the meantime, a temporary bridge will be placed to protect your teeth and reduce sensitivity.

At your next visit, Dr. Kashfian will remove the temporary bridge and check the final restoration for proper fit, bite alignment, and comfort. Once everything is confirmed, the bridge is securely bonded into place.

Caring for Your Bridge
With proper care, dental bridges can last 10 years or more. To maintain your restoration, brush and floss daily—especially around the bridge area—to prevent plaque buildup and gum disease. Dr. Kashfian will provide detailed instructions on how to clean under and around your bridge to keep it looking and functioning its best.

Regular checkups with Dr. Kashfian will help ensure your bridge remains in excellent condition. If you have questions or would like to learn more about dental bridges or other treatment options, contact our office today. We’re here to help you restore your smile with comfort and confidence.
